Before I get too Homer Simpson about the whole thing, if you’re not already sold, how’s this for persuasion? Locally in Whitstable, the best donuts are found down on the sea front by the fisherman huts. They’re pretty Ronseal in that they’re the plain, sugary ring donuts, but they’re flipping delicious. 5 for £2 they’re made in front of you, so you have to sort of throw them from one hand to the other to cool them down. A perfect pit-stop on a winter’s walk.
But now there’s a new breed of on-trend donuteries (is that a word?) – if you’re in East London, check out Vicky’s Donuts every Sunday at Chatsworth Road Market in Clapton, East London from 11am – 4pm. She also sells custom orders online for special occasions.
I leave you with this quote.
“Donuts. Is there anything they can’t do?” – Homer Simpson
